1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Large Onions
2 Medium Carrots
1/2 Stalks, large (11 inches long) Celery
2 Clove Garlic
18 Oz Ground Beef
1 Can (6 oz) Tomato Paste
2 Can (15 oz) Tomatoes
1 Tsp, ground Oregano
1 Tbsp Nutmeg
2 Tsp brownulated Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
1 Dash Salt
1 Dash Pepper
18 Oz Spaghetti
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Cook onion, carrot, celery, and garlic, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened.
Add ground beef.
Cook, breaking up with a wooden spoon, for 6 to 8 minutes or until browned.
Add tomato paste, tomatoes, oregano, nutmeg, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup cold water.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low.
Simmer, uncovered, for 20 to 30 minutes or until thick.
Season with salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water, following package directions, until tender.
Drain.
Divide pasta among serving bowls.
Spoon over sauce.
